Family Fun at the Louisville Science Center

There is always family fun available in Louisville, KY. This weekend is no exception, especially if you visit the Louisville Science Center located on Museum Row at 727 W. Main St. The doors open at 9:30am if you like to get an early start, and stay open till 9pm.

There is an activity for any age at the Louisville Science Center, as a variety of family entertainment is waiting right inside the doors. You will find all of the major sciences brought to life right before your eyes with interactive exhibits designed to engage your hands, mind, and imagination.

The Science Center in Louisville is also home to the IMAX Theater, with shows starting as early as 11am on the weekends. After you stimulate your children’s minds with science, you can take them to an incredible movie. This popular museum offers enough variety to keep your family entertained for an entire afternoon.

On Saturdays from 12pm to 4 pm, the Science Center offers a special program for children age 7 and younger. This Messy Afternoons event offers some gooey, sticky activities to stimulate your child’s interest and curiosity in scientific concepts and tools. This program changes weekly so every Saturday the children can experience something new.
