Hear a Concert in the Park at Cherokee Triangle July 16
Bring a blanket or your lawn chairs to Willow Park this July, and listen to a twilight concert in the park. Surround yourself with nature, sit back and let the sounds of song soothe you. This event is family-friendly and made for all ages, just like Willow Park itself.
Concert in the Park
The concert in Willow Park is free for everyone to attend. Be there from 7 to 9 to hear all the music and enjoy all the beautiful scenery around you. On July 16, the park will be filled with the sounds of Jenny and the Jets. They play classic rock and blues music that's sure to get your foot tapping.
Willow Park is at 1402 Willow Avenue, and you can come here any summer day to enjoy the sounds of Nature -- even when there's no official concert. Children love the playground, and the wide green spaces provide plenty of area for picnicking. The park is open daily from 6 am to 11 pm. You’ll find Willow Park off Bardstown Road, tucked right next to one of the most celebrated neighborhoods in Louisville: Cherokee Triangle.
Sing Out for Cherokee Triangle
Cherokee Triangle borders Bardstown Road on one side, and sprawls out to meet Cave Hill on one side and Cherokee Park on the other. The whole neighborhood is surrounded by tall trees, rolling hills and all the natural beauty Louisville has to offer. But people love it here mostly because it's so beautiful inside the neighborhood.
The original developers of the neighborhood created Cherokee Triangle in the 1880s to be suburb of the nearby city, and to this day the neighborhood retains its family-friendly look. They created large lots amid shady roads, and filled their neighborhood with beautiful late 19th century architecture. Late Victorian and early American houses still fill Cherokee Triangle, giving this neighborhood a one-of-a-kind look that sets it apart even from other subdivisions in the Highlands.
The homes here are grand and charming, impressive and pretty, and always unique. There are several 3-story and 2.5-story homes here, and stunning architecture everywhere you look. After you hear the best of Willow Park, see some of the best homes in Louisville in Cherokee Triangle this July.
