Take Your Preschooler to the Gym February 7

Is there anyone who has more energy than a toddler? Take your preschooler to the open gym at All About Kids. Here, they can enjoy all the play they want. And hopefully, wear themselves out so they’ll be good and ready for an afternoon nap.

Open Gym Day

The entire gym at All About Kids is open to preschoolers only from noon to 1 pm on February 7, plenty of time for them to run from activity to activity. They can jump on trampolines or dive into pits, tumble all over the floor or even swing from a trapeze. There are tree houses to climb and so much fun stuff to play on, they won’t know where to run first. There are instructors on hand the whole time, and parent participation is totally encouraged.

Play Time at All About Kids

After a busy afternoon of play, stop into the Cartwheel Cafe for a bite of lunch before you take a look around the rest of the neighborhood. Preschool Open Gym is for children 5 and younger, and tickets cost $8 per child. All About Kids is at 2531 Blankenbaker Parkway in Jeffersontown. If you’re looking for family fun, you’re looking in the right neighborhood.

Having Fun in Jeffersontown

All About Kids is surrounded by fun places. Within blocks, you can find Puzzle's Fun Dome, Rocksport Climbing Gym and Sky Zone Trampoline Park. All these family-friendly places host events and activities for kids and their families. J-Town is a very family-oriented neighborhood. It's full of parks, schools and places for them to spend their time. But parents need to have some fun, too. That's why J-Town is also stuffed with shopping and eating choices, along with a few nightspots and plenty of adult gyms. Several large businesses and corporations have office parks in J-Town.

But J-Town wouldn't be a perfect family neighborhood without one very important feature: family homes. There are literally thousands of them here. Drive around the neighborhood to discover many different subdivisions such as Forest Hills, Deer Trace Estates, Plainview and Saratoga Woods. You can find large family homes in brick, stone or siding -- or some with all three -- throughout Jeffersontown. Many of the neighborhoods have contemporary or traditional styling to give them a picture-perfect, picket-fence type of look. In other words, J-Town is full of large family homes with extra bedrooms, lots of square feet and big yards. That's all the stuff that families want. Extra features, like attached garages and custom kitchens, certainly don't hurt at all.

Take your preschooler to the gym, and then treat yourself to a better look at J-Town. You may just find that this neighborhood is just what your family needs.
