Two Science Adventures Sponsored by the Kentucky Science Center November 16th and 17th
If you have a family of science enthusiasts, the Kentucky Science Center has a weekend designed just for you! The fun starts with a Family Science Workshop for those 12 and older at Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana at 2115 Lexington Road on Saturday, November 16th. The class is from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a fee of $18 per participant.
On Sunday, November 17th, the Kentucky Science Center at 727 West Main Street will host their “Choose Your Own Science” Adventure from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. This event is targeted for grades 6 to 8 and is free for members with only a $2 fee for non members.
The Family Workshop will have your teen utilizing a 40-watt computer-controlled laser, design software and laser cutters to create high-powered homemade gifts for the season. The "Choose Your Own Science" program isn’t your standard science class. Instead, it allows your child the ability to pick books and articles and plan their own experiment in a controlled environment.
Two days, two locations and two great science adventures sponsored by the Kentucky Science Center. The whole family can experience fun at the Family Science Workshop on Saturday, November 16th at Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana. Those with children in grades 6 to 8 will enjoy watching the kiddos participate in the “Choose Your Own Science” event on Sunday, November 17th at the Kentucky Science Center.
