$1 Million Dollar Hole-In-One Golf Contest April 17th-27th
The Kentucky Derby Festival brings Louisville a wide array of interesting events in April. The Hole-In-One Golf Contest at Seneca Golf Course is part of the fun again this year. The contest opens April 17 and continues until April 27 when final rounds begin.
A Buck for a Chance to Win a Million
Golf balls are $1 each for a chance to win $1,000,000. The contest is open every day (except Easter Sunday, April 20) from 10:00am-8:30pm beginning April 17 and running through Saturday, April 26. The semi-final round begins at 6:00pm on Sunday, April 27. You may purchase balls for chances at a spot in the semi-finals until 5:00pm on Sunday, April 27, as well.
How the Contest is Conducted
The contest consists of three rounds of play. The first round is a qualifying round that sends ten people per day to the semi finals. A hole-in-one in the first round automatically gets you a spot in the finals on Tuesday, April 29. The $1,000,000 prize is paid to the winner of the finals for a contest winning hole-in-one. First prize in the contest is $5,000 for a closest to the hole shot in the final round if no one hits the hole-in-one.
Two Balls for the Price of One
On Ladies Day April 23, Kid's Day April 26 and Seniors (62+) Days (weekdays from 10:00am-2:00pm) eligible contestants will receive two for one on their ball purchases. The preliminary rounds are held at the driving range with a 100 yard shot for everyone. The final round of play will be on Hole 8 at Seneca Golf Course at 150 yards for the men and 135 yards for the ladies.
Throw a couple of clubs in the back of the car for the remainder of April. It might just be your lucky day the next time you pass Seneca Golf Course!
