2013 National Jug Band Jubilee September 21st
Those looking for a fun family outing with a more traditional flair won’t want to miss the 2013 National Jug Band Jubilee. This free and appropriate for any age event will take place at the Brown-Forman Amphitheater located on River Road by Tumbleweed on the River in Louisville. This once a year Jubilee will be September 21st starting at Noon and will end at 11:00 p.m.
For those that have never experienced a Jug Band Jubilee, you’ll be in for a real treat. There will be an abundance of vender booths offering local merchandise, food and some fantastic brews. There will be entertainment for the little ones, including workshops to teach musical methods on traditional jug instruments, including the kazoo, washboard and of course, the jug.
The 2013 Jug Band Jubilee will include performances from nine of the best jug bands in the United States, including local favorites the “Juggernaut Jug Band”. Entertainment will also be provided by the renowned Crow Quill Night Owls, Hokum High Rollers, The Sanctified Grumblers, The Cincinnati Dancing Pigs, The Jake Leg Stompers, Brotherhood of the Jug Band Blues, Boo Bradley and The How Long Jug Band.
Friends and families of all ages will want to kick up their heels at the free 2013 National Jug Band Jubilee at the Brown-Forman Amphitheater on September 21st from Noon to 11:00 p.m.
