25th Annual Great Train Expo in Louisville
All aboard for the 25th Annual Great Train Expo taking place February 16th and 17th at the Kentucky International Convention Center. This is the world's largest traveling model train show and it will be available for train enthusiasts to view from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. both days at 221 Fourth Avenue in Louisville. The admission is reasonably priced at $7 per adult, which covers both days and children 12 and under are admitted free.
Visitors will see over 60 exhibitions from all around the country featuring new, used and collectable trains. There will be more than 20 model railroads up and running in full operation and the starring feature will be a 75' X 75' Garden Railroad.
There will be train play stations for the little ones, along with a train ride and door prizes. The event also features demonstrations and workshops to encourage train lovers to create their own private transportation world.
Trains are a big part of Louisville's history dating back to 1850 when the Louisville Nashville Railroad made its home here. The Great Train Expo easily became an annual tradition for railroad enthusiasts, and now it is being welcomed at the Kentucky International Convention Center on February 16th and 17th.
