2nd Annual Gravy Cup at the Vernon Club February 16th
Great gravy, it’s the 2nd Annual Gravy Cup at the Vernon Club at 1575 Story Avenue in Louisville. This celebration of classic southern food if for charity and will take place on Sunday, February 16th from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. All proceeds will go towards the Boys and Girls Haven of Kentucky. There will be a bowling costume competition as well and tickets are $60 per team and $15 per individual to compete.
Biscuit and gravy lovers will not want to miss this fun event that celebrates all things gravy for a good cause. There will be two different categories of gravy chefs, professional and home cookers, and the gravy types will be traditional sausage roux and non-traditional, which is open for interpretation. Tasters will enjoy red eye, sausage, sage, vegetarian and many other types of gravy, plus there will be both a judge’s and a people’s choice award.
Entertainment will be provided by 91.9 WFPK’s Woody’s Roadhouse with DJ Woody Chancy and of course, bowling lanes will be open for those that want to work off some of those tasty samples.
Enjoy a little food competition and bowling for a good cause at the 2nd Annual Gravy Cup at the Vernon Club on Sunday starting at Noon. Tickets start at $15 and this is a fun for the whole family event with proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Haven of Kentucky.
