2nd Annual Halloween Festival at Brown Park October 26th
Brown Park at the corner of Kresge Way and Browns Lane is spreading its leaves to welcome the Second Annual Halloween Festival on Saturday, October 26th. This is a free to attend event that will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., so there will be plenty of sunshine during the fun.
The 2nd Annual Halloween Festival will offer more fun and excitement than the 2012 event, and it drew well over 2,000 children. There will be organized games, music, hayrides, a petting zoo, fire trucks, caricaturists, inflatables, trick or treating and more.
The St. Matthews Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of St. Matthews initiated this event in 2012 to provide a safe and fun environment for children and their parents during the festive Halloween season. Several local businesses participate and set up booths for the trick or treaters to collect goodies, and parents can enjoy the spooky festivities in a controlled environment.
The 2nd Annual Halloween Festival at Brown Park, located behind Baptist East Hospital, is a family-friendly event that Halloween enthusiasts won’t want to miss. This free to attend celebration on Saturday, October 26th features all things fall and sugary, and will provide hours of sweet, safe entertainment for children of all ages.
