2nd Annual Old Louisville Springfest May 17th and 18th
Old Louisville wants to welcome in spring with their 2nd Annual Old Louisville SpringFest on Friday, May 17th from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 18th from Noon to 10:00 p.m. This free event will happen along the 1200 and 1300 blocks of First Street near Ormsby Avenue. SpringFest was named as one of the top road trip destinations in 2012 by Travel+Leisure Magazine.
The Old Louisville SpringFest is presented by the Old Louisville Neighborhood Council and District 6 Councilman David James in order to maintain the love for the community. Last year's event brought over 7,000 visitors to the area and this year they have added more entertainment. There will be over 100 booths featuring local artists in a Parisian Flea Market offering handmade wares, art, antiques, carnival games and services.
The festival will have music on both Friday and Saturday nights on First Street with a variety of genres featuring local musicians. There will also be a beer, wine, bourbon and gourmet food tent for adults looking for an event cocktail. The little ones will not be left out as there will be the Kosair Kidzone complete with fun, games and inflatables. The children's play area will only be available from Noon to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
The Old Louisville SpringFest was such a success last year they couldn't wait to do it again, so come out and enjoy the festivities this May 17th and 18th!
