4th Annual Celts on the River Concert September 8th
The sounds of the 4th Annual Celts on the River Concert will be ringing down the river on Sunday, September 8th. The Jeffersonville River Stage located on the entire block of Spring Street will host this celebration of Irish heritage that is free and fun for families of all ages. The festivities will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will end shortly after 10:00 p.m.
This event was created in 2008 by the then newly-formed Kentuckiana Celtic Group, incorporated to celebrate the Irish, Welsh and Scottish heritage of both Kentucky and Indiana residents. Friends and families are encouraged to come celebrate in the Celtic spirit and enjoy a variety of Irish, Scottish and Welsh cuisine, vender booths with Celtic crafts and accessories, games and plenty of good music, dancing and storytelling. The schedule for this year’s musical entertainment is as follows:
- Liam’s Fancy 2:30 p.m. until 3:15 p.m.
- Cloigheann 3:30 p.m. until 4:15 p.m.
- Derby Boys 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
- Guilderoy Byrne 8:15 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
- Celtic Jam 9:30 p.m. until 10:15 p.m.
