4th Annual Germantown Schnitzelburg Blues Festival May 31st - June 1st
This weekend Check’s Cafe and the Kentuckiana Blues Society are proudly presenting the 4th Annual Germantown-Schnitzelburg Blues Festival both Friday, May 31st and Saturday, June 1st. This year’s event is hosted by Wild Turkey Bourbon and is free for all who want to attend. The music starts at 6:00 p.m. and ends at Midnight each evening at the corner of Hickory Street and Burnett Avenue in Louisville.
No one will be singing the blues about the food and drinks available at Check’s and local participating venues. Festival goers will be enjoying authentic barbeque, fresh sandwiches, cold sodas and refreshing beer during the celebration along with some good, old fashioned blues music.
Performances are scheduled as follows:
Friday, May 31st- River City Blues Band at 6:30 p.m., King Sonic at 8:30 p.m. and the Gordon Bonham Blues Band at 10:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 1st- The Jaywalkers at 6:30 p.m, Mr. Jimmy at 8:30 p.m. and Lamont Gillespie and 100 Proof at 10:30 p.m.
The 4th Annual Germantown-Schnitzelburg Blues Festival at the corner of Hickory and Burnett offers residents and visitors alike a great time with traditional blues music. This is a free music festival with food and drinks available for purchase, with each purchase offering a portion of the proceeds to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Take a break and get the blues on May 31st and June 1st.
