8th Annual Mardi Gras Gala at the Mellwood Arts Center January 26th and 27th
New Orleans may not be celebrating Mardi Gras till February, but the Mattingly Center is having their 8th Annual Mardi Gras Gala this weekend. The event will take place at the Mellwood Arts and Entertainment Center at 1860 Mellwood Avenue in Louisville starting January 26th at 6 p.m. and continuing until January 27th at Midnight.
The Mardi Gras Gala will not only provide loads of fun and entertainment, but proceeds will be benefiting adults with disabilities and the Cerebral Palsy School of Louisville. Attendees will be enjoying live music while sipping cocktails from the complimentary bar. The tickets are currently $125, but that includes a gourmet dinner, open bar, entertainment, dessert and a Bourbon Street Lounge after-party ticket. The after-party begins at 9 p.m.
If Mardi Gras Gala attendees somehow grow weary of the music, dancing and dining, they can always browse one of The Mellwood Art and Entertainment Center's festive galleries. Art enthusiasts are always welcome at Gallery M, The Bridge Galleries and the Pigment Gallery.
Both dancing and mingling can work up an appetite, so Mardi Gras participants will find munchies readily available along with drinks of both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic nature. The 8th Annual Mardi Gras Gala offers a unique night out for adults, but due to its popularity seating is limited. Advance tickets are advisable to dance the night away at Mellwood Art and Entertainment Center on January 26th and 27th.
