Abbey Road on the River May 23rd - 27th
Beatles enthusiasts be advised the annual Abbey Road on the River celebration starts Thursday, May 23rd and continues until Monday, May 27th. This event will be celebrated along the Belvedere Festival Park at 5th and Main Streets. The main base of the event is located at the Galt House where two stages will be providing constant tunes. This is a family-friendly event with tickets starting at $15 for one day general admission and festival packages are available.
Abbey Road on the River began in 2002 with a few Beatles tribute bands in Cincinnati, Ohio, and it has evolved into one of the largest festivals celebrated across the United States with participants from around the globe. This year musicians from France and Argentina will be performing, but bands from Japan, Russia, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Holland, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Greece, Scotland and England have taken the stage at previous events.
There will be multiple stages offering a variety of Beatles-oriented performances including both the Archibald and the New Daisy Stages at the Galt House, the Lawn and Fountain Stages and the Muhammad Ali Center Stage, which will also include the John Lennon contest for songwriting. There will be over 100 performances during this event so those ready to get their yearly dose of fun can review the band schedule to prevent missing your favorites.
