Archery Shoot at Jefferson Memorial Forest April 6th
The Jefferson Memorial Forest is holding an Archery Shoot on Saturday, April 6th from 9 a.m. until Noon. This activity is available for children aged 8 up to adult, but all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Participants will be provided with a bow, arrows and targets during the event and the fee is a reasonable $6.
Archery is a sport that improves hand to eye coordination and motor skills, plus kids usually have fun shooting at hay bale targets. This activity will have skilled instructors who should have participants up and shooting within minutes. However, hitting that bulls-eye will depend on practice and experience. The instructors will provide extra attention where needed and ensure that all participants not only have a good time, but do so in a safe way.
Jefferson Memorial Forest offers families an abundance of other activities to enjoy after the archery shoot. There are hiking trails, nature trails, picnic areas, camping, horseback riding, canoeing and more incredible ways to experience nature, as the forest has over 6,200 acres to explore.
