Art in Action Yelper Party October 22
The Tim Faulkner Gallery will be the site of the Art in Action Yelper Party on Wednesday, October 22. Local businesses and organizations will fill the gallery located at 1512 Portland Avenue with food, drinks and exhibits for a celebration of creativity. With a deejay, a live spray paint artist, circus performers, a face and body painter, and a body controlled gaming arcade this event might be even better than you expected when you started reading.
Donations Benefit Colon Cancer Prevention Project
Admission to the event is free and so are the food, the drinks and the activities once you arrive. The event is being held from 6:30pm until 9:30pm. A $10 donation to the Colon Cancer Prevention Project of Louisville is suggested. The nonprofit is dedicated to eliminating preventable colon cancer death and suffering through increased screening rates, education, improved health systems and advocacy.
What is a Yelper?
Yelp is a popular website that helps connect people with local businesses through listings, reviews and recommendations. Yelpers are the folks who use the site by both writing valuable reviews of the local businesses they frequent and using Yelp to find businesses. To attend the Art in Action Yelper Party you must RSVP on the Yelp website. To RSVP you must have a Yelp account, which is also free. Please note that the RSVP is not the end of the process. You must have and show your confirmation email for entrance to Art in Action. The celebration is only open to those 21 and over, so do not forget your ID. Become a Yelper and then come out for the Yelper party!
