Bark in the Park at Seneca Park September 23
Louisville’s dogs are invited to go Bark in the Park and participate in the Woof Walk this September. You’re welcomed to come along with them of course, and there will be plenty of stuff for four-legged and two-legged visitors.
Let the Dogs Out
You and your dog may participate in the 5k, also known as the Woof Walk, if you like. Cool off by the kiddie pools with your dog and meet other dog-owners. There will be plenty of pizza and hot dogs to eat, and several contests where you can compete and show off your skills.
Bark in the Park begins at 8 am at Seneca Park. That’s at 3151 Pee Wee Reese Road, in the Highlands area of Louisville. It’s free to attend Bark in the Park and $30 to participate in the Woof Walk. The park is right next to one of the city’s prettiest neighborhoods, a truly dog-friendly community that you and your four-legged companion will enjoy: Cherokee Gardens.
Stroll Through Cherokee Gardens
The homes in Cherokee Gardens were mostly designed by a single architect, one of the city's most prominent, in the early half of the 20th century. That historic period of architecture shines in the houses here, which are custom-designed in unique styles so that no two homes here are exactly alike. Traditional architecture in brick and stone construction rules here, graceful homes that create a commanding presence. You'll have to stop and take notice, because these homes were made to turn heads.
The luxury homes here sit on big lawns, which four-legged pals love. Those with two legs like the other features here: big rooms, modern upgrades, high-end fixtures and amazing location. The Highlands and all the culture of Bardstown Road are minutes away, which gives Cherokee Gardens residents easy access to some of the city's best shopping, eating and activities.
Bring your furry pals to Seneca Park this September, then take a stroll through the beautiful Gardens nearby.
