Get out in the fall weather and get a look at some tree-friendly spots in Louisville to honor these majestic growers.

A Week with the Trees

Louisville is full of different parks and there are even two large forests near the city. But you can find some great tree-watching spots right near the heart of the city. Cherokee Park and Cave Hill Cemetery and Arboretum are just minutes away from each other and they’re two of the best tree-spotting sites in town.

Tree Week in Louisville

Cherokee Park is one of the city's historic spots. Travel along the Scenic Loop and you're sure to see some pretty incredible trees. Find an entrance to the park at 745 Cochran Hill Road. Cave Hill is even more historic, dating to 1848. Cave Hill is an incredibly beautiful place, designed specifically to create peaceful, soothing scenery. You will definitely see some great trees here.

Right in-between the two, you’ll find the pretty streets of Cherokee Triangle. There are some great trees here, too, but you might not notice. You’ll be busy looking at the homes.

Walking Around Cherokee Triangle

Cherokee Triangle has beautiful green places on either side and it's bordered by Bardstown Road on the other. That means this neighborhood is close to great restaurants, coffee shops, theaters, shopping and all sorts of cool and quirky locations.

Each home here has its own grand look. These are tall, proud homes with a ton of character. You'll see a lot of siding, brick and stone. Some homes here are painted in pretty colors and all have architectural details that will make you want to stop and take a closer look. Attention to detail, that's what these homes have. Every single design is not just unique but beautiful, and it gets even better when you get a look inside.

Pocket doors, crown molding, fireplaces, hardwood floors, chair railing, great light fixtures, you can see all that in Cherokee Triangle homes and more. Get a better look at life in Cherokee Triangle this October and soon, you might decide to build your life here.
