Create with the Louisville Children’s Museum at the Bon Air Library April 16

This April, educators from the Louisville Children’s Museum are coming to Bon Air Library for a special Listen, Learn, Create event. Get the kids, and go have some fun learning new stuff!

Listen, Learn, Create

The Listen, Learn, Create series is a special library event designed to explore Louisville using fun learning activities. Kids will get some hands-on fun, too. The series focuses on Kentucky landmarks, famous buildings and local Louisville stories. All the activities are designed to engage young minds, but there’s a lot parents will learn as well. Children of all ages and their parents are invited, but the Listen, Learn, Create series is optimal for children aged 2 to 8.

Louisville Children’s Museum Bon Air Library Listen, Learn, Create

Every week is a different theme, so go to the library to find out what you’ll be learning this April. Be at the library from 6:30 to 7:30, and get ready to put your hands on some Louisville history! The Bon Air Library is at 2816 Del Rio Place. That's just minutes away from Farmington, one of the city's beautiful historic home attractions, and Wellington, one of the city's beautiful family neighborhoods. Take the time to see this community before you leave the area and learn a little more about Wellington while you're here.

Discovering Wellington

Wellington sprawls out next to the Watterson and Bardstown Road, giving residents here quick access to culture and entertainment of all types. And even though the neighborhood is close to the Highlands, the community famous for being "weird," Wellington was built with traditional good looks in mind. The gorgeous brick homes here are stately, many built in two-story designs with plenty of bedrooms for growing families. The Colonial style of the neighborhood matches nearby Farmington, the historic home.

Houses here have fireplaces, landscaped front lawns and beautiful details everywhere you look. Wellington is also home to the Hawthorne Elementary School, and it's within walking distance of the Gardiner Lane Shopping Center, Rainbow Blossom and several restaurants. Listen and learn about Wellington this April and maybe you’ll create a life here.
