Enjoy Art and Eats in Old Louisville April 10
How’s your French? Go to an evening filled with hors d'oeuvres and art at Fleur-de-Lis on Fourth, whether or not you speak the language. You’ll be in Old Louisville, but tonight it’s just a little bit like being in Old Paris.
A Night in Old Louisville
You’ll be at a trendy Louisville restaurant supporting the historic Old Louisville community, and that’s a great excuse to nibble on tasty food and take a look at gorgeous art. This art fundraiser helps to support the Conrad-Caldwell House, one of Old Louisville’s historic treasures. When you enter this community, you’ll find that Old Louisville is full of treasures.
There’s a huge collection of Victorian-era homes here. The Conrad-Caldwell House is a museum that’s open for the public to enjoy, but there are many private residences here. Some of the beautiful townhouses and mansions are still single-family residences. Others have been converted into chic condos and duplexes.
All proceeds of this fundraiser will support the Conrad-Caldwell House Museum, which you’ll find in the famous Saint James Court. This is one of many beautiful courts in Old Louisville that’s surrounded by breathtaking historic homes. Saint James Court hosts an annual community art show every year, one of many events you’ll find in Old Louisville. Join the community for a night of art and eating this April, and see Old Louisville for yourself.
A Night at Fleur-De-Lis
This fundraising event is at the Marketplace Restaurant at 651 S. Fourth Street, just a few blocks away from the Conrad-Caldwell House, and you don’t actually need to know any French. Tickets are $15 at the door. While you’re here, dine on hors-d'oeuvres prepared by Chef Dallas McGarity while music plays through the night. There will be a silent auction of one-of-a-kind hand-painted pieces of art made by local artisans. Even if you don’t bid, seeing this art will be an event all by itself.
The fundraiser lasts from 5 to 8, and there will be plenty of time to mingle and be social while you’re here. See some of Old Louisville for yourself, and help support this one-of-a-kind Louisville community.
