Enjoy Bird Watching in Beckley Creek Park This April
The virus outbreak has taught everyone an important lesson, sometimes, the best thing to do is stay away from other people! This April, head out to the park with your binoculars to do a little bird-watching. Louisville is home to many different types of birds and there are several great spots to see them. Go explore Beckley Creek Park, one of the city’s best places to see birds.
Listen to the Birds
Beckley Creek Park sits on 22 acres of beautiful land, lakes, trails and natural features. There's a playground and several great picnic areas here. The Parklands of Floyds Fork are near the playground and the Barklands, a dog-friendly section of the park.
The Parklands of Floyds Fork are located here. This park area is one of the bird-watching hotspots recommended by Louisville's Beckham Bird Club. Kentucky is home to many birds and April is when many of the spring birds are out and about. You may see species like the Bay-Breasted Warbler, American Redstart, Kentucky Warbler or even a Ruby-Throated Hummingbird.
