Enjoy Cards Under the Stars July 24
It’s summertime, and that’s the perfect time to watch a movie under the stars. Why not try “Cinderella” at UofL this July 24?
Cinderella Under the Stars
Be at the University of Louisville on July 24 at 6:30 pm to see the 2015 live-action “Cinderella” movie. You’ll get much more than a movie when you go to the Cards Under the Stars event this summer. There’s lots of fun stuff to do before the film, too.
Inflatables and games will keep the children busy before the show starts. Members of the Louisville League of Mascots will also be in attendance to entertain the crowds. Concessions will be available if you get hungry. Bring your own lawn chairs, blankets, coolers and snacks if you like. There is parking at the Grawemeyer and Ernst Hall lots.
The film stars Cate Blanchett as the evil stepmother, and Lily James as the title Princess-to-be. The movie and all the activities are free for you to enjoy. Just go to the University at 2301 S. 3rd Street to join in on the fun.
All Around Parkway Village
The UofL campus is surrounded by communities, but Parkway Village is one that stands out. It's made up of cozy family homes that have distinct features like big porches, fireplaces and park views. The Village Green Park is located right in the neighborhood. You'll find businesses along Preston Highway, a street well-known for its restaurants and shopping.
You can usually find something fun to do along Preston Highway, but the campus is just a few blocks away, too. There are lots of things that make Parkway Village a great place to live. Explore this part of Louisville in July, and see why so many people enjoy living near the campus.
