This park is not only designed for people who wish to get outside, walk the trails, and enjoy a bit of hiking through the trees; the park is also ideal for the highly athletic. With an Olympic-sized swimming pool, tennis courts, and 10 soccer fields, the location can be used year-round by people who are looking to increase their physical activity or watch a game or two from the sidelines.

Taylorsville Lake State Park

A little bit south of Louisville, Taylorsville Lake State park is made up of 1,200 acres of fabulous land. This park is well known for its many horse riding trails as well as its camping. For people who are interested in catching a few fish, or getting out on a boat, this Kentucky state park has plenty of opportunities to fish and to boat. With playgrounds in the park, this area is suitable for children and their families, as well as individuals who are interested in surrounding themselves with nature.
