Enjoy the End of the Holidays January 4
Aren’t you glad the holiday season is over for another year? If you want to celebrate saying good-bye to the holidays, head to the Galt House on January 4. They’re having a post-holiday bash, and everyone’s invited to take part.
Officially, it’s service night at the Galt House but anyone is welcome to attend the event. Everyone will be letting their hair down and letting off steam after another hectic holiday season. The party goes from 9 pm to 2 am in the Archibald Cochran Ballroom.
This is a 21 and over event, because the night is all about cutting loose. V-Groove and DJ Empty Beats will be providing entertainment all evening long. When you show up to the party, you’ll walk down a red carpet. Seating is open, and tickets are $25 per person. VIP tickets are also available; that gives you access to the pizza buffet and champagne toast.
Door prizes will be given away to some guests, but all guests can watch the Mixologist recipe contest and enjoy all the other events.
The Galt House is one of the city’s most notable landmarks. You’ll find it at the end of the 4th Street. There are lots of reasons to go to the Galt House, but the post-holiday bash is a pretty good one. Because of this landmark’s location, you’ll have easy access to the freeway and the Interstate from here.
Head straight down the waterfront for a few miles, and you'll find Mockingbird Valley. This is one of Louisville’s prettiest neighborhoods. It’s close to the downtown area, but Mockingbird Valley is styled to make you feel like you’re out in the country. Rolling hills and natural scenery create the feeling that you’re actually far away from it all.
Mockingbird Valley is home to the Louisville Country Club. Currently, almost 200 people live in this neighborhood. It’s just a short drive away from the Galt House, but it feels like a whole different world.
