Enjoy the Nulu Festival September 26
NuLu Festival is such a big event, the street is shut down to make more room for it. It’s a block party, and it’s a totally fun time that everyone in the family will enjoy.
A Festival in New Louisville
You’ve probably heard of the Old Louisville neighborhood, a beautiful community filled with historic Victorian homes. Well, the block party is being held in New Louisville -- or, NuLu. This area of town was once known as the East Market District, but now it’s known for being one of the city's trendiest, hippest neighborhoods.
From 11 am to 11 pm, the party will be happening at NuLu Festival. Live musicians will perform on the big stage, lots of vendors will have booths open and operating in case you feel like doing a little shopping, and there will be plenty to eat and drink. Many local food vendors will be at the fest, and you’ll find a good selection of craft beer.
NuLu is an historic neighborhood that’s filled with a lively new energy. The whole area is being revitalized. History is preserved here, but there’s a ton of modern buildings as well. NuLu is known for its independent businesses, its large arts district and amazing local food.
Living in the East Market
The East Market District has a lot of historic buildings, but many people are drawn to the new living places in this hip neighborhood. The East Market Lofts are a perfect example. People who want to live in a chic city apartment are going to feel right at home in these stylish lofts.
Living downtown puts you close to all the culture, food and amazing shopping in downtown Louisville -- and you’ll find a lot of it in this area. NuLu is next to the waterfront and all the attractions it has through the year, not the least of which is Thunder Over Louisville.
Go to NuLu Fest this September, and see how amazing it is to be a part of this thriving, exciting community.
