Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo Live at the Brown Theatre June 28th
You don’t need a time machine to get up close and personal with history. Go the Brown Theatre on June 28 for Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo Live. It’s a unique event that focuses on the animal life that existed in pre-historic Australia. And because it features dinosaurs, the younger members of the family are sure to love it.
Dinos in Action
Lifelike puppets bring the dinosaurs to life in the Dinosaur Zoo Live show. The event is presented by Erth Visual & Physical of Sydney, Australia, and the show itself is touring the nation this summer. Go to the Brown Theatre at 315 W Broadway to see the show, which shows at 11 am and again at 3 pm. Tickets are $15. A special VIP Dino Pack is available. Ask about this package deal at the ticket booth.
An Afternoon at the Brown
Louisville's Brown Theatre has been providing entertainment to audiences since 1925. For a while, movies were offered here, but the theater was remodeled to provide live performances instead. The Brown is located in one of the most popular areas of downtown Louisville. It's across the street from the main library, and close to the Louisville Palace. Many schools and restaurants are nearby. There's so much to do in this section of downtown Louisville, you could spend an entire day just exploring the area.
A little bit farther out, you’ll find the city of Shively. This area was settled in the late 1700s by farmers. The Shively family was one of the first landowners. Much of the land was later donated. Later, the area’s farmland gave way to whiskey distilleries – a staple of the state. You can still find the remnants of these post-Prohibition buildings in Shively along Seventh Street.
