Family Canoe Day at Jefferson Memorial Forest July 6th
This Saturday, July 6th Jefferson Memorial Forest will be hosting their Family Canoe Day from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. This is a fun for all ages event that offers families and friends an opportunity to get in touch with nature on a relaxing ride around the lake. Participants are welcome to bring their own canoes or if needed, canoes are available for a rental fee of $10.
Families are encouraged to dress comfortably, bring a picnic lunch and some drinks to enjoy the afternoon after a trip across the water. Sunscreen is also advisable to protect against the elements. The sun's reflection off the water can quickly burn sensitive skin.
