First Friday Trolley Hop August 2nd
The First Friday Trolley Hop on August 2nd has been expanded. Now the route covers the new Art Zone along Main and Market Streets, along with South 4th and Fourth Street Live in Louisville. The Trolley Hop offers a fun for the whole family experience for only the cost of what you purchase after you step off the bus. Families can catch the trolley at any of the participating locations along the route starting at 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Trolley rides are free for any age.
Trolley riders now have even more entertainment options at their disposal with free transportation. Tour the 21C Museum, Frazier History Museum, Glassworks, Kentucky Museum of Arts and Crafts and the Thomas Edison House. Stop for a show at the KentuckyShow or dine in any of the many cafes, coffee houses, restaurants and delis. The South Fourth District also has some brand new venues to explore, including Art Eatables, Block Party Handmade Boutique, Regalo, Les Filles Louisville Celebrations, Crafts and Gifthorse.
As always, there is free parking available for hoppers at Sluggers Field, Main Street at Jackson and the 4th Street Live parking garage. Once on the trolley, riders will have the option to switch routes between 4th and Main Street to tour the downtown area.
This is a monthly event, thus the museum and gallery participants change their exhibits which allows for a consistently evolving atmosphere for trolley hoppers. The First Friday Trolley Hop on August 2nd offers so much variety, it is a challenge not to be entertained at any age.
