Footprints of Hope Walk at Seneca Park July 26th
The 2013 Footprints of Hope Walk will be taking place at the beautiful Seneca Park, located at 3151 Pee Wee Reese Road in Louisville on Friday, July 26th. Those who wish to celebrate this free event will find 531.5 welcoming acres of preserved nature and a 1.2 mile track on which to stroll and show their support.
The focus of this Hope Walk is to recognize and raise the awareness of eating disorders in Kentuckiana. This event is sponsored by Norton Women’s and Kosair Children’s Hospitals for the entire afternoon, and those wishing to walk for a cause are encouraged to do so.
Although not as widely publicized as some debilitating diseases, Anorexia, Bulimia and other eating disorders have became a serious problem in children, teenagers and even adults. Norton and Kosair Hospitals both offer special programs to help and heal those that suffer the effects of these disorders.
On Friday, July 26th, family and friends who want to walk symbolically in the Footprints of Hope Walk while enjoying nature will find that Seneca Park offers a welcoming environment. Take a stroll towards good health for a good cause, then take a stand against eating disorders by bringing a healthy lunch and just enjoying nature.
