Get a Medical Screening at Norton Healthcare July 15
Breast cancer is still a huge problem in women, and Thornton’s is working to raise awareness this summer. Get a free mammogram screening this July 15, because it’s always a good time to get tested for this dangerous disease.
Taking the Thornton’s Challenge
Part of the Thornton’s Challenge is to bring more awareness to the dangers of breast cancer, and Norton Healthcare is helping them fulfill that challenge this summer. Go to 4136 Cane Run Road from 10 am to 2 pm, and get a free mammogram screening.
The screenings are provided through a mobile unit, and all women aged 40 to 75 are welcome to get screened. Challenge breast cancer this summer, and visit an area of Louisville that’s often overlooked. Cane Run Road goes through several Louisville communities. The screenings are being held in Shively, just blocks away from Hallmark Estates.
A Visit to Hallmark
One side of Hallmark is near the beautiful Algonquin Park, something neighborhood children love. Kids also love the Alpha Cheer Gymnastics center, located just outside the neighborhood.
Hallmark is famous for its churches, and the community is well-known for being the home of several local Louisville politicians. There's lots to do immediately outside the neighborhood, but within the boundaries Hallmark is mostly family homes. People come here for the churches and kid-friendly facilities, but they also come for the location. Hallmark is close to Louisville's South End and not far from the exciting downtown area, which gives residents the best of the city and the suburbs.
See the neighborhoods around Cane Run Road this July, and become more aware of breast cancer while you're at it.
