Go Back to the Louisville Zoo This June
The Louisville Zoo is finally opening back up again this June. Beginning on the 26th, people will be allowed to go visit the animals here. There are strict rules in place to keep everyone safe, but the animals are just as fun to see as ever.
A Visit to the Zoo
The zoo is limited to 100 guests per hour. All guests will follow a one-way path through the zoo. All of the indoor exhibits, rides and playgrounds are closed, but the outdoor animals are all still here. All the zoo staff will wear a mask and all guests aged 5 and older are asked to also wear a mask.
The outdoor picnic areas have been arranged to allow social distancing and there will be limited menus available so you can eat and snack.
The Louisville Zoo is at 1100 Trevilian Way, next to the pretty Audubon Park neighborhood. While you’re already here, take a look at the real estate in Audubon Park and take some time to see why this neighborhood is so special.
Afternoons in Audubon Park
All the streets in Audubon Park are named for avian creatures, but this neighborhood isn't for the birds. The winding, shady streets of this neighborhood will take you through a pretty historic district full of Tudor Revival, Craftsman and Colonial home designs sitting on big lawns surrounded by landscaping.
Many of the homes here date to the 1920s, and Audubon Park still has this classic look. The multi-bedroom homes here may be historic, but they have been updated over the years to suit modern residents. Audubon Park has all the classic architecture and all of today's features that homeowners want. The houses here have high-end features as well, little touches that everyone wants like hardwood floors, spacious rooms, wainscoting and more.
Find out everything Audubon Park has to offer and visit the zoo this June.
