Go Ice Skating This January
So, someone forgot to tell the Louisville weather that it's supposed to be winter! You probably haven't been sledding this winter and probably haven't built a snowman or had a snowball fight. But you can still go ice skating at Iceland Sports Complex, no matter what the weather decides to do.
It's Winter Somewhere
When the weather won't cooperate, go indoors for your winter fun. Bundle up like it's cold out and head to the ice-skating rink. Here, it will be chilly and the ice will definitely be frozen.
This is where the UofL ice hockey team practices and has their games. You can always come here to find a pickup game for kids or adults. There's a regular schedule of games that anyone can join. And if you'd rather just skate, no problem. There are public skating hours available as well.
Iceland Sports Complex is at 1701 UPS Drive, just down the road from Anchorage. After you go ice skating, head to the dry land of Anchorage. You'll find that this beautiful neighborhood is definitely a friendly harbor.
Warm Up in Anchorage
There's no water in Anchorage despite the name, but this is certainly a friendly port. Anchorage is a sea of gorgeous homes arranged on hills, along winding roads. They're tucked under trees on huge pieces of land that are filled with natural features. Each and every home in Anchorage was custom designed to sit on the lot where it was built, because the outside of the property is very much a part of the overall design.
These homes were made for luxury and luxury is what you will find inside and out. Many of the homes here are designed to have multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, not to mention huge rooms and extra space, besides. Ride through the hills of Anchorage and see which of the homes here might become your future home.
