Go on a Fall Hike This November

Hiking in the summer can turn into a bit of a nightmare. The weather gets hot, the bugs come out, you end up running out of water. It's a whole thing. But hiking in fall means kicking leaves around and walking against crisp, refreshing breezes. And when you're done, you can get some hot coffee or hot cocoa to get warm again. Try it this November and go on a fall hike in one of Louisville's best hiking locations, Cherokee Park.

A Fall Hike in the Park

If it's a hike you want, head to Cherokee Park. This is where you will find the Scenic Loop. The loop will take you past the golf course, the basketball court and some really beautiful nature.

Hiking in Cherokee Park

And while you're out hiking, you might want to collect items like pinecones, interesting sticks, maybe even some cool rocks you find. Natural items like these make great decorations for Thanksgiving or any fall day. Natural items like this can be painted with spray paint, or you can use acrylic paints and small brushes to decorate the rocks. Or they can be left as they are for a more rustic look. A few found items and a creative little display can be extremely effective, and you can't beat the price!

There's an entrance to Cherokee Park at 745 Cochran Hill Road. That's right near Cherokee Triangle. These are the kind of homes that inspire a lot of pretty decorations.

Get Inspired in Cherokee Triangle

Cherokee Triangle was built to take advantage of the nearby park and the natural beauty of the area. The homes here rise up on green lawns, poking out from around the tall trees with traditional, Victorian-style designs that show off some of the best architecture and styling from the early 1900s.

Every home here is unique and each of them is grand in its own way. You can find gorgeous historic homes here that look like they were transported directly from the past, but you can also find homes that look so modern, they are practically futuristic.

Cherokee Triangle homes have multiple bedrooms and bathrooms and beautiful, spacious designs. Each home here has a story to tell. How will Cherokee Triangle end up adding to your own story? Find out this November!
