Are you and the family ready to shake off the last remnants of those winter blues? If so, come on out to the Bluegrass Music Forest Festival at Jefferson Memorial Forest on Saturday May 19th. The tunes will start bringing rhythm to the woods at 11am and continue till 8pm.

If you and the family aren’t in the mood for music, Yew Dell will be stunning garden lovers with their 5th Annual Garden Sculpture Show beginning Saturday May 19th and continuing till July. This event will be held at 6220 Old LaGrange Road starting at 10 am, with doors closing at 4 pm. This sculptural display will feature unique, hand crafted art specifically made to highlight the beauty of your flora and fauna.
The sculpture show is a juried contest, so you’ll bear witness to the work of some of the region’s best sculptors. There will be a variety of styles and mediums, and artists are encouraged to participate. If you’ve been working on your own art, consider putting it on display.
