Have a Country Christmas December 2
Christmas isn’t always easy. Everyone wants the latest high-tech gadgets, the cool voice-activated devices. You know, the super expensive stuff. But sometimes, the best things about Christmas are those good old-fashioned memories. That’s exactly what you’ll make at Country Christmas. This is a fun and affordable holiday event where you’ll make crafts, sip cocoa and remember that Christmas doesn’t have to be about all those gadgets.
You’re invited to the Blackacre Nature Preserve and Historic Homestead for the holidays this year. You can have your photo taken with Santa and enjoy all sorts of fun holiday events. There’s even a wood-chopping demonstration. Let’s face it, you just aren’t going to find that at the crowded shopping center.
Have storytime with Miss Prim, listen to the carolers, have cocoa and cookies and participate in making a nature craft during this event. You can also take a hayride and tour the holiday house. There’s even an enormous train exhibit that contains 60 pieces.
Admission is a suggested donation of $20 per carload, which includes a photo with Santa. The Blackacre Conservancy is at 3200 Tucker Station Road. That's just down the street from the winding roads in Stone Lakes, a beautiful neighborhood that's full of small ponds and big, beautiful homes. This is a pretty great place to spend the holidays, too.
Holidays in Stone Lakes
There's a grocery store and immediate care center right near the neighborhood, along with a coffee shop. There are lots of schools, attractions and places to shop nearby, all those things you need in a neighborhood. But the thing you need most, great real estate, that's definitely what Stone Lakes is all about.
Big, brick homes with attached garages. Lovely green lawns. Outdoor living space. It's the kind of neighborhood you'll see in the movies and it's exactly what Stone Lakes looks like. These homes have four bedrooms and three or more bathrooms, on average, along with hardwood floors, wainscoting, custom cabinets, arched doors, all sorts of features that will stop you in your tracks. When a home literally puts you at a standstill, you know it's something special.
Go see what's special about Stone Lakes this December. Maybe you'll find something to give yourself for the holidays!
