Dine for the Derby
The Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation is hosting a Night at Vincenzo’s. All of the money raised for this event will go to the Kentucky Derby Festival. Be at Vincenzo’s at 6 pm at 150 S. Fifth Street. Tickets cost $150 per person, or $1,700 for a VIP table of ten. The cost covers the entire gourmet dinner and your whole evening at Vincenzo’s.
Located right in the heart of downtown Louisville, surrounded by some of the city's best sights, Vincenzo's is known for delicious Italian cuisine. You can taste flavors from all around the world when you're in downtown Louisville, but if you go just a few blocks away you can practically visit another country. After your dinner at Vincenzo's, or even before, take the time to take a visit to Germantown.
What's Cooking in Germantown?
Germantown immigrants came to this part of the city, just outside the downtown area, to settle here in the 1800s. People haven't stopped coming to this neighborhood to live ever since. Today, Germantown is known for its eclectic collection of unique businesses and restaurants, its interesting little shops and its incredible architecture. Germantown has one of the largest collection of shotgun homes you'll find anywhere, and they give this community a look that no other neighborhood has.
Over a century of history is still preserved in Germantown, because residents here have worked hard to maintain the neighborhood's past. The older buildings have been beautifully renovated over the years, so even those historic shotgun homes have all the modern features you really want. In fact, Germantown has everything you really want in a neighborhood, from amazing culture to delicious food to beautiful homes. Inside, those homes are full of gleaming hardwood floors, fireplaces and gorgeous historical details that set each one of them apart.
Set yourself on a path to Germantown this June, because who knows where you'll end up?
