Have a Night at the Opera with the UofL School of Music August 4
This August, give yourself a night of culture, romance, suspense, jealousy and incredible singing. The UofL School of Music is presenting “Carmen,” one of the most popular operas in the world.

Bizet’s “Carmen” is the tale of a gorgeous gypsy who inspires love, jealousy and even rage in her suitors, including a soldier and a thrilling bullfighter. Carmen ends up at the center of a passionate love triangle. The music, the costumes and the sets will sweep you away in this romantic, dramatic tale.
How will it all end? You'll have to watch the performance to find out! Be at the School of Music from 2 to 5 pm on the UofL campus and be ready to get swept up in the romance. The University of Louisville begins right where Old Louisville ends. This is a neighborhood full of romantic and beautiful details. Lots of people feel passionate about living in Old Louisville after they see it.

Old Louisville is most famous for its Victorian architecture.
