Hear a Classic Christmas Tale at the Southwest Regional Library December 21
This December, get the kids and head to the Southwest Regional Library for a night of Christmas tradition. The night’s story is themed for the season and is a Christmas classic, “The Night Before Christmas.” There will be plenty of treats to enjoy while you listen.
A Few Nights Before Christmas…
This special holiday storytime is a reading of the Christmas classic, “The Night Before Christmas.” This wonderful poem tells the tale of Santa Claus delivering presents, and ends with the famous line “Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”
The story lasts from 6 to 7 pm, and of course there will be goodies for you. Cookies and cocoa will be available, because after all it’s Christmas, and everyone can join in on the Christmas carols if they like.
The Southwest Regional Library is at 9725 Dixie Highway, right outside the family-friendly Prairie Village neighborhood.
A Day in Prairie Village
Prairie Village has a wide-open feel to it. There are many sprawling ranch houses here with trees towering over them, beautiful homes sitting on sweeping lawns. There's lots of room for children to play here. Prairie Village is dotted with parks, athletic fields and schools, and the neighborhood is well-known for its Little League programs. This is truly a family-oriented community filled with homes and schools. There's even a place to play paintball, which delights kids of all ages and plenty of adults, too.
Mostly, Prairie Village is a collection of quiet, shady streets where you'll find children playing in yards and riding their bikes down sidewalks. The pretty brick homes in Prairie Village almost have a storybook look to them. So when you’re in the area, look here and you may be looking to buy real estate in Prairie Village soon.
