Do You Hear What I Hear?

The Louisville Chorus and organist Laura Sullivan will bring you magical, delightful holiday music for the Canticles of Christmas event at St. Brigid Catholic Church. Canticles are hymns or chants. They're uplifting, beautiful songs that will help make you feel joyous. And isn't that just how you should feel at Christmastime?

Canticles of Christmas at St. Brigid Catholic Church

This special event is part of a trio of Christmas concerts being presented by the Louisville Chorus, which is currently in its 80th season. For decades, the Louisville Chorus has been filling the city with beautiful music at Christmas and all through the year.

The concert begins at 3 pm. General admission tickets are $23 per person. Senior tickets cost $20. Students pay $5. Go enjoy the concert at St. Brigid Catholic Church at 1520 Hepburn. That’s in the historic Highlands neighborhood, a community that’s famous for having fun, unique places to go and things to do.

A Holiday in the Highlands

St. Brigid's is in the Original Highlands, a section of the Highlands known for restaurants and nightlife. You can feast on cuisine from around the world here, sip a cup of coffee, dance at an Irish pub or order a beer in a bar that was once a church! There are lots of fun little places to visit in the Highlands. This neighborhood has theaters, shopping, schools, a comedy club and places that you can only find here.

This is an exciting neighborhood, and Bardstown Road is filled with activity on the weekends. But on the side streets, the Highlands becomes a pretty collection of unique, custom-built homes styled with architecture of all types. You may find a tall brick townhouse overlooking Cherokee Park, a gorgeous Tudor nestled among leafy trees, a grand two-story with a covered front porch, a lovely Cape Cod that could be straight out of a Hollywood movie, and that's just the beginning. You can even find Victorian homes in the Highlands.

There's something interesting and different to see everywhere you look here, and that's why so many come to this neighborhood to shop, to eat and to live. After you see the Highlands, you may want to join them.
