Hear Masterworks from the YPAS Concert Choir October 22
The young artists from YPAS, Louisville’s Youth Performing Arts School, will be presenting a concert choir you have to hear to believe. Some of the city’s most talented young people in the YPAS Concert Choir will share the masterworks in an amazing night of music and song.
The YPAS Concert Choir will perform a beautiful lineup of songs for the Masterworks Concert at St. Brigid Catholic Church. The concert lasts from 3 to 4:45 pm, and costs $22 for adult tickets. Students attend for $5. When was the last time you got to hear an afternoon full of beautiful music?
St. Brigid is at 1520 Hepburn Avenue in the Highlands, right down the road from Baxter Avenue Theaters and surrounded by some of the area's hotspots. The Highlands is famous for being an active community with a little bit of everything to offer, from live music to coffee shops to great local stores to innovative cuisine. But the Highlands also has a quieter side, and you’ll find it right across the street from St. Brigid in the gorgeous Cherokee Triangle.
Exploring Cherokee Triangle
The Cherokee Triangle is one of the city's beautiful historic neighborhoods, known for its stately Victorian architecture. The neighborhood is named for its proximity to the park. Cherokee Triangle is right next to the Cherokee Park, designed by the famous Frederick Law Olmsted. Homes here have scenic views of the park and nearby Cave Hill, a national landmark.
Early American architecture and Victorian styles are all over Cherokee Triangle. The grand homes here are built to be big to give families plenty of space. You'll find many two-story homes built in beautiful brick here, breathtaking houses with multiple bedrooms that are surrounded by tall trees and pretty landscaping.
The architecture is historic, but inside these homes are beautifully upgraded. While the amazing features of the past are left intact, features like hardwood floors and crown molding, plumbing and electrical systems have been replaced and updated over the years. Families in Cherokee Triangle get the best of history’s beauty and modern-day comfort. What else will you get when you visit here this October?
