Hear the Louisville Orchestra for Free December 21

Louisville is known for things like bourbon and horseracing and tobacco, which can be looked at in sort of the wrong way. But the truth is, Louisville is an extremely cultured city that has its own symphony, a ballet company, a Shakespeare performance company and much more. This December, take the chance to hear the incredible Louisville Orchestra perform Once Upon an Orchestra completely for free.

Head to the Louisville Free Public Library for a free performance of the incredible Louisville Orchestra from 2 to 3 pm. This is Once Upon an Orchestra, a performance that includes interactive storytelling set to music. A popular children’s story will be acted out though 60 magical minutes of music and a delightful show.

Kids will also learn how to make their own musical instruments using recycled materials during this special event. This performance is being held at the Southwest Library. This is one of the newer libraries within the Louisville Free Public Library system, a gorgeous and huge location that has a lot of materials available. Visit the library at 9725 Dixie Highway.
