Howl at the Moon at Jefferson Memorial Forest
Sometimes the family pet needs to get out of the house for some fun too, and this weekend there is an event for families and pets to attend together. This Friday, July 20th starting at 7pm Jefferson Memorial Forest invites you and your furry friends to come Howl at the Moon, and make camp and enjoy the stars.
This is an annual event for the entire family. You and your four-legged friends can spend an evening romping through the woods and enjoying nature. If group activities get those noses sniffing, the forest staff will lead owners and their pooches on a hike through the woods.
This is a great way to socialize your pet with other animals and their owners. The staff does request owners use non-retractable leashes and that you keep your furry family on their best behavior. All participants will be meeting in the Horine Reservation and treats await your pets. There will be a free sample of Milkbone Trail Mix to tempt your doggy’s taste buds, as long as supplies last.
If you and the family look forward to events that the ENTIRE family can attend, this is one for you. Not only is this a great social experience for your pet, it is also a wonderful way to make them feel like a real part of the family. Come out and howl at the moon in Jefferson Memorial Forest with man’s best friend this weekend.
