IMAX Weekends at the Kentucky Science Center
The Kentucky Science Museum at 727 West Main Street in Louisville is encouraging families to become weekend warriors for their special IMAX Weekends. Starting on February 15th and 16th from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., visitors of any age will pay only a $5 admittance fee, but will have full access to either the museum exhibits or the IMAX theater.
Visitors wishing to experience both need only to double the fee and pay $10 to receive full access to the Science Museum and the IMAX theater.
The IMAX show times begin at 9:45 a.m. with the last film beginning at 8:45 p.m. The film rotation is between Flight of the Butterflies, the Human Body and Born To Be Wild.
Flight of the Butterflies is the tale of the Monarch butterfly migration and the scientist who studied them for over 40 years. Born to be Wild is narrated by the renowned Morgan Freeman and tells an emotional tale of human and animal bonding. The Human Body is being shown at IMAX as a compliment to the ongoing Body Worlds Vital exhibit and shows a remarkable view of bodily processes from breathing to digestion.
The Kentucky Science Museum's special $5 weekends offer gives families and friends a chance to enjoy indoor entertainment with a touch of education until spring arrives.
