Jefferson Memorial Forest Independence Day Celebration
Come out and celebrate the ‘after’ Independence Day Celebration at Jefferson Memorial Forest! This is a great way for you and the family to get out and enjoy the outdoors while celebrating the annual July festivities. This festival in the forest will take place starting on Thursday July 5th through Friday July 6th.
If you and your family like the outdoors, than you will most assuredly appreciate spending a few days out in the woods with nature. There are plenty of interesting things to do out in the forest to occupy individuals of any age.
Nature offers a wide variety of natural entertainment. If you happen to be the artsy type, you will find yourself mused by the abundance of wildlife, the relaxing music of babbling brooks, the singing of birds and currently the cicadas have awoken to sing campers to sleep.
The family can create a personal schedule of daily activities or take advantage of the events scheduled by the forest caretakers. The Jefferson Memorial Forest Independence Celebration is offering an orchard of holiday activities.
Campers who like heights may enjoy climbing the Alpine Tower for a breath-taking view of the forest. Sure shots will like the challenge of outshooting their siblings during an archery shoot; however there will be NO live targets. There will be wildlife in the area to provide an up-close view of the forest’s natural inhabitants. The kids can compete in sack races, turtle races, and plenty more. This is a great way to celebrate independence by being somewhat independent in the forest!
