Join the New Moms Group at Mama’s Hip March 14
It’s never easy being a new mom, especially when you don’t know a lot of other new moms to talk to. At the New Moms Group, everyone’s going through a lot of the same stuff as you. Join the group on March 14 for a little grown up discussion, and spend some time with other new moms.
All Moms, All Afternoon
New moms are getting together from noon to 2 pm at Mama’s Hip. The group discussion will include all sorts of topics that are important to new moms. The group is mostly designed for moms and babies up to 6 months old. You don’t need to register or call ahead. Just feel free to drop in and join the discussion. You’ll meet other new moms, and you’ll get out of the house for a little while.
Mama's Hip is at 1559 Bardstown Road in the lively Highlands community. If you live in Louisville long enough, you're going to end up here at some point. Bardstown Road is packed with stuff to do, from trendy boutiques to coffee shops to bars to the latest chic restaurants. Mama’s Hip is just a short walk away from the Cherokee Triangle. Visit this neighborhood, and you’ll see that life can be quiet in the Highlands, too.
Live in the Triangle
When you're off of Bardstown Road, the Highlands becomes a quiet, pretty neighborhood covered with trees and historic homes. You'll see some of the prettiest ones in the Cherokee Triangle. This neighborhood spreads out next to Cherokee Park on one side of the triangle, and the historic Cave Hill National Cemetery on the other. Cave Hill is a national landmark, and it's gorgeously designed and maintained so that it looks a lot like a park, too.
Homes in Cherokee Park have character that reflects the historic times these streets have seen. You'll find tall Victorian homes just down the street from cozy Craftsman designs. Nearby Cherokee Park was designed by the same man who created New York's Central Park. It was built to make the most out of Louisville's natural rolling hills and foliage, all of which you can see from Cherokee Triangle. Go see the quieter side of the Highlands in Cherokee Park this March, and see why so many people love living in the Triangle.
