Walk This Way
This is a walk that you take on your own. You'll log your walk virtually to show your participation. This is a month-long event, so you can take your walk anytime in March. Walk four miles wearing something for St. Patrick's Day and you can officially say you participated in a lot of Shamrocks and Shenanigans in March!
You'll get a medal and a bib for participating. Register for this event online at EventBrite. The Parklands at Floyds Fork is a perfect place to get your walk done. The Broad Run Park Karst Trail is particularly beautiful. The trail is 2.4 miles long. Walk it twice and you'll complete more than four miles. The trail will take you past a beautiful waterfall and lots of great natural scenery where you'll have plenty of chances to take photos of yourself.
The park is at 11551 Bardstown Road, near Mt. Washington. After you walk around the park, rest your muscles with a quiet drive through Mt. Washington.
Drive Around Mt. Washington
Mt. Washington began as a small, country town with a two-room schoolhouse. The little town has become much more modern since then, but Mt. Washington still retains its small-town charm. You'll find it everywhere while you're here. Mt. Washington has its own post office, schools, restaurants and shops. There's a skate park for the kids, beautiful country clubs and actual working farms. Mt. Washington has historic attractions and there's another story around every corner. This is a little town packed with attractions and places to love. But this is also a small town that's packed with gorgeous real estate options.
This community is full of beautiful homes with traditional architecture. The winding streets are lined with large, two-story homes with attached garages, multiple bedrooms and multiple bathrooms. There are historic properties and actual farmhouses in Mt. Washington, too. Drive around here for a while and it may drive you to buy a home in Mt. Washington.
