Join the St. Matthews Area Ministries Golf Classic May 16
Enjoy a day of golf at the beautiful Wildwood Country Club, and help support a good cause at the same time. You’ll hardly find a better reason to get out and enjoy the gorgeous May weather.
The St. Matthews Area Ministries Golf Classic
Take the day off to play golf, eat and maybe even win some prizes. You’ll have so much fun, you’ll forget that you’re doing it all for a good cause. All proceeds of the St. MAM Golf Classic support the St. Matthews Area Ministries. MAM puts money directly back into the community by helping those who live in St. Matthews and beyond.
Play a full 18 holes of golf, enjoy lunch provided by the Wildwood Country Club and have dinner later catered by Texas Roadhouse. Participate in the silent auction if you like. Just by showing up, you have the chance of winning a prize. There’s lots of fun stuff going on during the golf classic, whether you’re a player or a spectator. Tickets cost $125 per golfer, which includes all the amenities and action.
This is an all-day event, so you have from noon to 7 pm to enjoy yourself. See it all at the Wildwood Country Club at 5000 Bardstown Road. That’s just down the road from the Fern Creek community, where it’s very common for the front lawns to look a lot like golf greens.
First Class Living in Fern Creek
Fern Creek is just a short drive down the road from Wildwood Country Club. The road in question is Bardstown Road, a main hub of activity in Louisville. Bardstown Road famously cuts through the Highlands neighborhood, a community packed with coffee shops, locally-owned boutiques, restaurants and lots more sights. But when you want to get a look at the quieter side of Louisville life, Fern Creek is the perfect neighborhood.
It's right down the road from the Highlands, but Fern Creek has a much more slow-paced atmosphere. Many families live here because of the nearby schools and parks, and because Fern Creek is within easy access of other major areas of the city. Fern Creek is made up of many large family homes with big, rolling lawns -- so don't be surprised if you see kids playing when you take a look around this neighborhood. The contemporary home styles in Fern Creek give the neighborhood a classic suburb look, and the lots are still large enough to create that feeling of privacy even though you'll be close to the heart of the city.
See how well you hit it off with Fern Creek this May after you hit the links at the country club, and see if you can picture yourself living here, too.
