Kentucky Bluegrass Music and Burgoo Festival September 1st-3rd
This weekend you and your family can set your toes to tapping at the Kentucky Bluegrass Music & Burgoo Festival. This annual music fest will be held at the Louisville Water Tower located on 3005 River Road near the King Fish. This free event kicks off on Saturday, September 1st, and River Road will continue to be entertained by bluegrass tunes until Monday September 3rd. On Saturday and Sunday the music will start at 5pm and continue until 11pm. Monday’s concert begins at 2pm and ends at 7pm.
This annual festival celebrates Kentucky’s authentic Bluegrass Music heritage, and provides some tasty old-fashioned cuisine. Those that attend this free event will enjoy live music, fabulous Burgoo and see an interesting variety of arts and crafts at participating vender booths. If Burgoo is not to the liking of your family, other tasty treats are available and King Fish is conveniently located within walking distance. The good news is, the music can still be heard from King Fish’s outside dining area and families get a breathtaking view of the Ohio while they enjoy festive Bluegrass tunes.
The Kentucky Bluegrass Music and Burgoo Festival offers families an entertaining way to spend Labor Day Weekend. This is an outside event, so the well-manicured lawn of the Louisville Water Tower will provide plenty of room for attendees. Families are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, or whatever will provide comfy seating while enjoying the show. The festival and parking are both free. Bring the family out to get a taste of some Kentucky Burgoo, and listen to traditional Bluegrass Music this Labor Day Weekend!
