Around the Fairgrounds
The communities of Audubon Park, Prestonia and Camp Taylor are practically next door to the Exposition Center. These pretty neighborhoods are ideally situated in-between the fairgrounds and the Louisville Zoo, close to a ton of different yearly and seasonal events.
Audubon Park is home of the sprawling Audubon Park Country Club. The neighborhood is named for famous wildlife artist John James Audubon, so many of the streets are named after birds. Many homes were built in the community in the 1920s, and you’ll see it in the architecture. Dutch colonial, Neo-Colonial, even craftsman-style bungalows pepper the neighborhood. Audubon is an historical city known for its shady streets and many small parks, which makes it perfect for families and nature-lovers.
