Laugh with Weird Al at the Louisville Palace June 4

Weird Al is visiting 100 cities around the world this summer, and Louisville is one of them. He’ll be performing songs from his last chart-topping album, which was nominated for the Best Comedy Album Grammy. Weird Al is one of the biggest-selling recording artist in music, and that’s no joke.

Hear the Best

He’s been nominated for 15 Grammys, and on June 4, he’ll be performing his new hit songs like “Tacky,” a parody of “Happy” and “Word Crimes,” a parody of “Blurred Lines.” He’ll make fun of Lorde, Iggy Azalea and the biggest current pop stars, and they deserve every minute of it.

Along with Madonna and Michael Jackson, Weird Al is one of three artists who have had Top 40 singles in each one of the last four decades. He’s been in the business for a long time, and he knows how to make fun of the music business better than anyone. Weird Al isn’t just a performer, he’s a comedian. This is what people love about him. You’ll love hearing him, too.

Laugh this June, and go to the Louisville Palace to hear Weird Al perform. The concert is scheduled from 7:30 to 10 pm, and tickets range from $35 to $75 depending on where you sit. The Louisville Palace is at 625 South 4th Street, right in the heart of downtown Louisville.

Seeing the Old Louisville

When you go to the Louisville Palace, you’ll be within walking distance of the Old Louisville neighborhood. This famous part of the city is filled with elegant Victorian homes that look like something out of a movie. Walk around this part of town to see ivy climbing up the brick and stone houses, flowers blooming behind wrought-iron gates and breathtaking architecture that dates to the days when Louisville didn’t even have cars in it.

Old Louisville is such an interesting neighborhood, people from out of town go visit it. Louisville has worked hard to preserve much of this community, which is filled with buildings from the 19th century and the early 20th century. There are many different housing options here, from large townhomes to amazing apartments with gorgeous historic details. Inside these buildings, you’ll find hardwood floors, ornate fireplaces and other details that were so much a part of that era.

Have fun in the downtown Louisville area this June. Look at amazing buildings, laugh with Weird Al and get a dose of the diversity and different types of fun you can find in the city.
